One of my goals when designing things for Baby Jives Co is to create pieces that can last long after the nursery is gone so of course I identified with Kirsten's design philosophy for her son Oliver's space. Kirsten shares, "My major inspiration for this room was to make a space that was aesthetically pleasing for adults and a baby. I tried not to get caught up in themes and just wanted to put together a space that felt warm, welcoming and comfortable. My husband is a pilot and we live in Monterey Bay so those were some of the starting points when I started brainstorming and planning for the room." Who wants to peek inside...
Kirsten added the sweetest personal touch too, " The mural that I put together by the changing table is all DIY. I started an Instagram project in my third trimester #100daysbeforeoliver where I documented visually each day before his arrival and wrote a little note to him or about the day. The prints included in this mural come from that project. I love that when my husband and I step into that room it just feels like home. We can't wait to welcome our little guy into his very first space."
